In a strategic move that underscores its commitment to value-based care and long-term member impact, Arkos Health is proud to announce the appointment of Eric Tanner as its new Chief Executive Officer. This leadership transition marks a pivotal step in the company’s evolution as it continues to redefine healthcare delivery across Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace populations.
Jerry Williamson, co-founder and long-time CEO, will transition into the role of Executive Director of the Board and Chief Strategy Officer, where he will remain a key architect of Arkos’ growth, innovation, and national expansion strategy. This change is part of a broader leadership realignment that positions Arkos for the next phase of operational scale and market performance.
Tanner’s appointment reflects more than a change in title—it signals a renewed focus on growth, data-driven execution, and deeper collaboration with communities and payer partners. Under his leadership, Arkos will expand its reach and scale its proven model while staying grounded in its guiding philosophy: the One Arkos framework, built on the pillars of unity, accountability, value, connection, and goodness.
“Arkos is building a smarter, more connected approach to value-based care,” said Tanner. “By working across Medicaid, Medicare, and Marketplace—and partnering directly with health plans to support their members over the long term—we bring together clinical depth, local insight, and technology at scale. It’s a true honor to lead Arkos into its next chapter as we expand into new markets, scale our proven model, and deliver meaningful impact for members, partners, and the healthcare system as a whole.”
Williamson, who has worked alongside Tanner for nearly a decade, expressed his full support:
“Eric is the right leader for this moment. He has a rare ability to bring people together, distill complex issues, and move organizations forward with clarity and purpose. His discipline, insight, and deep commitment to our mission make him the ideal CEO to guide Arkos into the future.”
Under Tanner’s leadership, Arkos Health will continue to advance its core initiatives—including Community Health Assessments, Transitional Care Management, and Palliative & Hospice Transitions—while enhancing the company’s approach to population-wide care coordination. Local care teams work closely with members’ primary care providers and payer resources to reduce fragmentation, improve documentation integrity, and ensure timely, appropriate care.
Arkos will also place renewed emphasis on its Quality Program, launching a year-round improvement strategy supported by a performance dashboard that enables proactive identification of care gaps and actionable interventions.
This leadership transition directly supports Arkos Health’s 2025 priorities—including entering new markets like Georgia and Montana, improving Medical Loss Ratio and STAR performance, and driving financial sustainability through disciplined, high-impact execution.
As Arkos serves over 430,000 (and growing) members across seven states, the company remains focused on delivering measurable results—including a 3x return on investment for its health plan partners—while helping them perform, scale, and grow with confidence.
With this leadership transition, Arkos Health reaffirms its mission: to be the trusted partner payers rely on to drive better outcomes, deliver sustainable growth, and transform care delivery across the full spectrum of populations.
